If there is a point on the island that offers heart-stopping images, it is the Teide National Park. Subsequently, we go to the old access road to the Peak, which goes up Lomo Tieso to the Altavista Refuge and which presents a strong unevenness. The path continues over black flows of young lava. To climb the peak of Teide on your own it is necessary to request a permit on the national park website (https://www.reservasparquesnacionales.es/). It must be taken into account that they are distributed 200 permits a day and the demand is very high.
