SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Vox deputy in the Parliament of the Canary Islands, who was a candidate for the presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands, and president of the formation in the province of Las Palmas, Nicasio Galván, hopes to be able to “rectify” what happened with the absence of the list of his party to the Congress of Deputies for the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and assesses legal actions if necessary.
Thus, he explained to the media at the opening ceremony of the Parliament of the Canary Islands that they are collecting all the “possible information on what has happened to see if” they can “take some kind of judicial measure.”
“I don’t know what has happened, but those in this province cannot be deprived of being able to vote for Vox in Congress. Because the Senate did go well, all the lists, but Congress did not. So, I’m telling you, we are compiling information and see if we can take some kind of action,” he said.
Regarding the reasons, he said he was unaware of what happened in detail and insisted that they are “compiling all the information”: “As soon as we know something, come on, we will transmit it to you. I think there is always a margin, depending on what has happened it can be corrected or not. I think there can always be a margin, especially in judicial matters.”
Galván continued assuring that it is “even an attack on democracy.” “We consider it, to a certain extent, that it is even an attack on democracy, if I hurry, that Vox cannot be presented in this province. Let’s see if we correct it and everything goes well,” he concluded.
