The 485 tables for the San Benito magician’s dance that the La Laguna City Council, from the Fiestas area, had made available for reservation, through the mueviticket.com website, were sold out yesterday in barely two hours since they were enabled on the web around 4:00 p.m., according to municipal sources. Each table had a cost of 10 euros for the reservation, and the proceeds will go to the most needy people in the municipality.
The San Benito magicians ball will take place on July 7, starting at 8:00 p.m., and its total number of tables will rise to approximately 500, when those of the associations are added. As a novelty, the arrangement of tables will grow from the Concepción area towards San Benito along Marqués de Celada street. There will be stages on the corner with Juana la Blanca street and in the Torre de la Concepción, thus separating two areas, one more traditional and the other for dancing.
Each user could reserve only a maximum of two tables, each with eight chairs. On the website it is explained that at each access door and inside the venue there will be staff to answer any questions and validate the table ticket, for which it is enough to present the QR, preferably on the mobile phone, by any member of the table. In addition, it is pointed out that any person dressed in typical costume will be able to access the event venue even if they do not have a table.
The dance of magicians is one of the main events of the San Benito Abad festivities, which will start next Thursday with the reading of the proclamation, by the musician José Manuel Ramos, at 7:00 p.m. in the hermitage of San Benito.
From there, the different events, contests, festivals, open-air festivals, children’s activities and organized exhibitions will take place, the next most important event being that of July 9, with the celebration of the emblematic regional pilgrimage, which will take the same route as the from last year.

On the other hand, the City Council also reported yesterday that it has already made available to the public the copies of the program book for the festivities of San Benito Abad 2023, which can be picked up free of charge at the entrance of the old convent of Santo Domingo from 09:00 to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The design and edition of the program book, of which 800 copies have been published, corresponds to Julio Torres.
