SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Bulgarian soprano Deyana Sávova and the pianist from Tenerife Mara Jaubert will offer the concert Alma eslava, which will take place this Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the headquarters of the Royal Canarian Academy of Fine Arts San Miguel Arcángel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Plaza Ireneo González, 1). This recital has the collaboration of the Cabildo de Tenerife and is free to enter until full capacity is reached.
The repertoire of these two artists is made up of arias, songs and piano pieces by some of the most important composers in the Slavic musical world. The songs will be performed in their original languages, so the translations will be distributed to the audience.
The program will include some of the most famous works of the Russian Romantic period, including a selection by Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Kórsakov and Rachmaninoff. Pieces by the famous Bulgarian composers Vladigerov, Pipkov and Petkov will also be performed, as well as the arrangement of a Ukrainian folk song by Leopold Yashchenko.
The concert will provide a very enlightening and genuine walk through the fascinating Slavic culture and music.
Deyana Petrova Sávova is a lyrical singer from Bulgaria who lives in the Canary Islands. She has received master classes for perfecting opera and zarzuela from great singers and orchestra conductors and has participated in operatic productions, concerts and recitals at various music festivals.
Mara Jaubert has recently offered three recitals and a masterclass in Japan, together with the singers Cristina Calvo and Ryou Abe. She has performed at the University of Mexico DF and has participated as a repeat pianist in the world premiere of the English version Henry Clifford by Isaac Albéniz within the Canary Islands Music Festival; among other performances. She is currently an accompanist pianist at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias.
