The Espacio La Granja will host next Saturday, June 24, the production ‘Ohlimpiadas’, a crazy and crazy story that combines humor with acrobatics and dance and which was awarded the Feten Award for Best Street Show.
In ‘Ohlimpiadas’ two cleaners bored with their daily routine enter a dream world where their working day is broadcast as if it were an Olympic competition, narrated through the voice-over of Julia Luna, a well-known commentator on the World Cups. swimming and the TVE Olympic Games.
It is a production by the Galician company La Sincro that offers an absurd and crazy world, in which, in addition to laughter, it teaches how important the attitude with which we face the different situations of life is. The show begins at 6:00 p.m., with tickets for 5 euros on the Espacio La Granja website or at the box office on performance days.
On stage will be the actresses Mónica Suárez and Berta Garriga, two experts in physical theater and circus whose acrobatics will surprise the public. The first is a graduate of Circo Caramba and one of the best schools in Paris at the hands of prestigious teachers. For more than a decade she has worked as a comedian and clown in various companies and also as an individual clown. Berta Garrida for her part has also trained in Paris and Barcelona and, like her partner, she is part of various companies.
In ‘Ohlimpiadas’ they want to reflect everyday life, in this case with two women as protagonists, immersed in a routine that contrasts with the sporting feat and both worlds, the real and the imagined, mix in continuous nonsense. The sporty gesture, the dance, the acrobatic portés and the humor support this fantasy world that both build on stage. The assembly has been carried out in co-production with the Circada Festival.
