The leader of the Initiative for El Rosario-Verdes (IR-Verdes), Escolástico Gil, took office this Saturday as mayor of El Rosario after having obtained 9 representatives in the last elections of May 28, an absolute majority in the Rosario City Council.
Gil became Mayor in 2015, continued as local councilor after the elections of 2019 and on May 28 he achieved his best results. He will be accompanied by a team marked by a combination of councilors with some years of experience, such as Fátima Gutiérrez and José Yeray Gutiérrez, and others who have recently joined.
The investiture plenary session of El Rosario was one of the least complex on the island due to that absolute majority that IR-Greens achieved. Along with this formation, the Socialist Party (PSOE), the Popular Party (PP), Canarian Coalition (CC) and Vox.
