The PP abstains and makes Olivia Delgado (PSOE) mayor of Arico

The plenary session of the Arico City Council is completed by three councilors from Canarian Coalition and two from Arico Somos Todos, who yesterday opted for vote to their candidatesVíctor García, in the nationalist case, and José Luis Hervella for the municipal formation, emerged from a neighborhood movement.

“Today is a day of illusion and great joy,” said the mayoress of Arico after a constituent plenary session that recorded the presence of a large group of neighbors and family members of the councilors. She had words of congratulations for “all political groups” and wished them “the greatest possible success on this path that we are undertaking.”

In the same, announced the launch of “a project of change from dialogue” and with people at the center of the policies to be developed. A job that begins “from minute one” and with the neighbors, “because politics is to be at the service of the citizenry,” specified the Ariquera councilor.

Víctor García assured that “Arico has given way to a stage in which we must live up to the dialogue, work, effort and loyalty that the people ask of us.” In Coalición Canaria “we will lead the opposition in a constructive way, with the support of the Cabildo and the Government of the Canary Islands, and supervising the execution of the projects, services and contracts that are already in the hands of the City Council.”

Arico Somos Todos assures that with the election of Olivia Delgado “it is demonstrated that there were no previous agreements, at least for Arico Somos Todos. This will be a new form of government, to say the least interesting. You have to work hard and not lose a penny that comes to town.
