He Secretary General of the Canarian Coalition (DC), Fernando Clavijohas said this Friday that there is no agreement to govern in the municipalities of Granadilla (Tenerife) and Teguise (Lanzarote), where the majority needed can depend on Voxso the councilors of his party votetheir own candidates.
In the case of Teguise, Vox had already announced that its only councilor would support an alleged pact between CC (7 councilors) and PP (3) so that the nationalist Olivia Duque is the mayoress of the municipality, where the party with the most votes on May 28 was the PSOE (8 councilors), with Marcos Bergaz at the head.
In Granadilla de Abona, the PSOE obtained eleven councilors, while the CC obtained ten; PP, two and Vox, two.
Fernando Clavijo has insisted this Friday that CC will vote “for itself” in both municipalities and added that heThe mayor’s office will be for those who decide the councilors of Teguise and Granadilla.
He has also reiterated that CC is consistent with his speech that it has nothing to do with Vox and Podemossince there is no agreement, and he has pointed out that the polls spoke on May 28 and the constitution plenary sessions that will be held on Saturday leave without agreements in these municipalities.
