The Puerto de la Cruz City Council regrets the death of the ventriloquist and humorist María del Carmen Martínez-Villaseñor Barrasa, better known as ‘Mary Carmen and her dolls’, who died this Thursday afternoon as a result of an accidental fall in her home .
Thus, she details in a statement made public through social networks that she is “one of the artists who are part of the history of comedy in Spain and who has undoubtedly made so many generations enjoy.”
The consistory states that “his legacy remains” which is part of society’s memory, emphasizing that he will always be remembered for his “genuine and close character” that he displayed in Puerto de la Cruz, “the place he chose to spend long periods of time and which became his residence at different times of the year”.
