The best routes with a waterfall in Tenerife

Tenerife it is a natural outdoor paradise. Its nature and good weather mean that the Island is chosen every year by thousands of people for outdoor activities. the practice of hiking in Tenerife is an ideal option for both tourists and residents and, even more, if you are lucky enough to come across a waterfall at some point on the route.

On an island surrounded by mountains like this, it is not surprising that a stream of water surprises us in the middle of the road, although it is also true that it is not usual. Perhaps, for many, finding and enjoying the beauty of a waterfall can be difficult to find and a challenge on every hike.

In Tenerife there are many paths surrounded by nature. Whether on the coast in the middle of the mountain, the natural corners that the Island offers are an attraction for thousands of people.

What are the routes with waterfalls in Tenerife?

In Tenerife there are many hiking trails to spend the day with family or friends. Some of the most attractive are where we can find a waterfall. Some of the ones you can visit are:

river ravine

In the municipality of Arico is the route of the river ravine. In the middle of nature, you can enjoy a journey of about 10 kilometers which, perhaps, is not suitable for all audiences, since it is necessary to walk on top of the stones that, in addition, can slip when in contact with the water. A route that begins in the town of El Río and that has its best milestone in the waterfall.

Hell’s Ravine

The Barranco del Infierno route is probably one of the best known in Tenerife. In fact, it is currently necessary to book an appointment through the page https://www.barrancodelinfierno.es/. He access is limited to 20 people every half hour, in order to preserve the flora and fauna of the place, but, without a doubt, the experience is worth it. The trail lasts approximately three and a half hours, going there and back, and the total length of the route is approximately 6.5 km.

Castro Boulevard

In the north of Tenerife we ​​arrive at Rambla de Castro, in The Realejos, a small path, suitable and suitable for all audiences, which has several beauties along its route. One of them are the ruins of the water lift of La Gordejuela, which have been selected as one of the most beautiful in the world by the Civitatis tourist portal. But if we continue with our interest in discovering the most beautiful waterfalls in Tenerife, we also find one of them here.
