Fepeco enhances the face-to-face work of private security guards

José Manuel Ojeda, Secretary General of the CCOO of the Habitat of Canary Islandsreceived a plaque of recognition for the private security sector from the president of Fepeco, Óscar Izquierdo, who explains that it represents “the gratitude and recognition of the construction industry” for carrying out its work “showing its face, with dignity and professionalism in front of some citizens». The president of the provincial construction employers values that “the private security guards of the different buildings of the Canarian public administrations have been (since the beginning of the covid) and continue to be a prototype of training, training, training and instruction.”

To his credit, Izquierdo highlights that this group assumes responsibilities “that have exceeded their powers, efficiently, effectively and kindly serving all citizens and businessmen in person. José Manuel Ojeda thanked Fepeco for the gesture “because of the importance of recognition of hard, difficult and very sacrificed work that, many times, is not rewarded with its economic equivalence.” It claims a greater social value and wages “in accordance with the provisions of the agreement, which are often not met by companies when it comes to tendering, because they almost always go downward in tenders, which in the end become true auctions”.
