SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Geographic Institute (IGN) reports this Monday that it has detected a small seismic series of up to 40 earthquakes on the west coast of Tenerife from 8:00 p.m. this Sunday until 7:00 a.m.
In general, they have been located at great depth, between 40 and 50 kilometers, most of them have not been felt by the population and have reached magnitudes below 1.2, most of them in the sea and in a strip between Guía de Isora and Adeje.
However, from the IGN they specify that this does not mean “any change in the state of volcanic activity on the island.”
