SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The vice president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands and elected councilor of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, has affirmed that the alliance of women will allow others to shake hands from spaces of power. “Women will get to Mars if we help each other,” she stressed.
This was stated at the Networking and Leadership Meeting organized by BPW Canarias, where she delivered a speech before more than a hundred business and professional women led by Antonia Varela Pérez, president of BPW Canarias.
Rosa Dávila reflected on all the challenges that lie ahead: “I have never met women who were adversaries, quite the contrary, influential women who have helped me, have served as a reference for my party and other , which have inspired me. We also have a challenge in training so that boys and girls normalize the presence of women in all areas”.
For her part, the president of BPW Canarias pointed out in her speech the variety of profiles that make up the Association and from those who work for full social equality. “We are the largest lobby of influential women in the world, present in more than 120 countries and with half a million members,” said Antonia Varela.
He also wanted to take advantage of the presence of the next president of the Cabildo, the first in more than 100 years of history, to wrest from her the commitment to be taken into account in the decision-making and participation bodies: “We want to continue denouncing the inequality between men and women , not turn a blind eye. Face inequality in all its magnitude: the wage gap, the underrepresentation of women in management positions, in careers, family reconciliation, etc. “
WOMEN INSPIRING WOMEN.
The Leadership and Networking Meeting included the participation of prominent speakers who reflected and made the hundred attendees reflect on the myth of the superwoman and happiness. Led by Daniela Postiglione, director of People at Cajasiete and member of Gehocan’s Board of Directors, he began the dynamic with “one of the words we hear the most on days like this ‘I’m overwhelmed, life doesn’t give me.’ Postiglione asked the public where there is time for reflection and contemplation.
Naira Delgado, professor of Social Psychology at the University of La Laguna, then took the floor to talk about the balance between happiness and actions. Delgado gave a breakdown of the paradoxes of happiness and how it never comes alone, but on many occasions it appears together with other emotions such as fear, insecurity, pain or sadness.
The conference also had the contribution of Daida Hernández, an expert psychologist in positive psychology and an entrepreneurial mindset, who encouraged attendees to set high goals but move step by step, without haste, enjoying the journey without losing sight of the goal.
Blanca Carnicero, economist and Chief Happiness Officer, and Cayetana de la Guerra, People Management consultant and Coach, in a side-by-side conversation, discussed how to understand and promote happiness at work for greater productivity and growth. “There is a relationship between the happiness of the employee and the success of your business,” said Carnicero, “the staff is more motivated, committed, creative. We must generate spaces of happiness.
This session was closed by Elena Pérez Jerónimo, a female guide and coach specializing in Human Relations and Communication. Pérez focused on intuition and spirituality, specifically on feminine cyclicity. She talked about the feminine archetypes and how they apply both personally and professionally in the execution of projects.
The guiding thread of the entire day came from the hand of the pianist Amparo de la Hera who provided the soundtrack to this meeting of professional women and businesswomen.
