The Mayor presents the VI edition of ALE_ARTE Cumbre de Bolico Festival of Artistic Expressions Alexia Martel González

The Mayor of Santiago del Teide, Emilio Navarro accompanied by the Councilor for Culture, Sergio Mendoza, has presented this Thursday, October 7, the VI edition of Ale_Arte.Cummo de Bolico Festival of Artistic Expressions Alexia Martel González, which emerges as a tribute “alive ”To the figure of the deceased neighbor of the municipality Alexia, as well as to all those people whose legacy has enhanced the popular culture and the identity of the municipality; a fact that has given rise to a whole platform that, during its previous 5 editions, has hosted numerous artistic disciplines.

Thus, this cultural event, which is organized by the City Council in collaboration with the Cabildo de Tenerife, will begin on Friday, October 15, at 12.00 in the Plaza de Santiago del Teide, with the presentation of the VI edition of the festival, an exhibition -exhibition of previous editions ALE_ARTE pyramids and with animation of dancers by the KDO Theater. Starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Central Patio of the City Hall and coinciding with the International Day of Rural Women, the book entitled “Women of Fire and Lava” will be presented. Memories of the Rural Woman of Santiago del Teide “.

At 7:00 pm, at the Grama Cultural Center, the Cherfe Theater Cultural Association will stage the costumbrista play “Arcadia”. At 9:00 p.m., at the Chinyero Visitor Center, coinciding with Rural Women’s Day, there will be a tribute show entitled “María Paloma: Alma, Corazón y Vida” performed by the City Council dance workshops, counting on the part musical with the Parranda “El Mesturado”.

On Saturday October 16 from 10.00 am there will be a parade with the Santiago del Teide Fanfare and animation with dancers by the KDO Theater. Around 11.00, there will be children’s workshops at the Grama Cultural Center by the company 4Bichos with Mokanda and Corujas Dolls, whose registration is in person until full capacity is reached. In the Central Patio of the Town Hall at around 11.00 there will be a body percussion workshop directed by Sissi del Castillo first, for a younger audience and another at 12.00 for a more familiar audience, whose registration will be done in person until the completion of the capacity.

At 6:30 p.m., at the Chinyero Visitor Center there will be a children’s show by Komba Producciones entitled La Fábrica de Libros. At around 9:00 p.m., the monologist Darío Pérez will act as one of the festival’s highlights with his show “Echadito Palante” in which the artist takes a journey through his childhood and those aspects of his life that have influenced the Palante Producciones most popular creations.

On Sunday October 17, at 10:00 am in the Central Patio of the Town Hall there will be Bebe Tales for babies from 0 to 18 months with Isabel Bolívar and her show “Counting Ando” while at 11:30 am Laura Escuela will tell us about ALAMAR for babies from 19 to 36 months. At 7:00 p.m., at the Chinyero Visitor Center and as the closing of the VI Edition of this festival, Los Cantadores will perform as another of the great dishes, which the critics say has the best live performance in the Canary Islands.
