Titsa inaugurates a new route through the interior of the Teide National Park

At the same time, the company has launched a new route through the interior of the Park, which will cross the most emblematic sites of this space to respond to the demand of both residents and tourists. Stops will be made at Portillo Bajo, visitor center, Portillo Alto, Minas de San José, Montaña Blanca, cable car and parador (Roques de García).

The Minister of Mobility and President of Titsa, Enrique Arriaga, explained that this route seeks to “reconcile the management and preservation of a protected area with the interest it arouses among tourists and visitors. Thus, a more sustainable alternative is offered both to go to the Park as to know its main attractions “.

For her part, the Minister of Management of the Natural Environment and Security, Isabel García, has indicated that this new line that crosses the National Park “is an old demand in the protected space management policy, which is in line with the work on the one that we intend to stimulate the use of public transport, and the prelude to a new model of mobility management, which leads to a more sustainable use and respectful of the environment “.

The new line with which Titsa will cross the interior of the Park in both directions will maintain the number 342, corresponding to the one that connects with the South, and will have a price of 2.10 euros per journey. It will cover the area between the Portillo Bajo and the parador (Roques de García), with departures at 11.00, 12.30, 13.10 and 14.40 in the direction of the parador and with routes at 11.20, 12.30, 13.10 and 14.00 in the direction of the visitor center.

For its part, line 342, which will cost from 6.05 euros, will leave Costa Adeje at 9:15 am and the return will be at 3:15 pm (from El Portillo). The 348, whose price will be from 4.10 euros, will depart from Puerto de la Cruz at 09:30 and will return at 15:55 (from the parador).

The company points out that tickets for these lines can be paid in cash, with the Tenmás card, with a credit card or with tourist cards for one or seven days, which include this journey to Mount Teide. The routes and timetables of the lines can be consulted on the website www.titsa.com, on Titsa’s helpline, 922 53 13 00, or through the company’s social networks.
