José Manuel Bermúdez guarantees “stability” in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

CC and PP leaders in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Jose Manuel Bermudez and Carlos Tarife, respectively, they signed an agreement yesterday to govern the City Council that is inspired by stability and moderation. In Bermudez’s opinion, “It is the best agreement for and for Santa Cruz”. In addition, he clarified that in the next four years he does not plan to leave the Mayor’s Office to go to other institutions. The acting councilor assured that this possibility “does not enter” into his plans, “neither in the short, nor in the medium nor in the long term.”

One of the objectives set consists of recovering for the municipality the investment from Council of Tenerifehe Government of the Canary Islands and the state, with the intention of “putting an end to the punishment and marginalization that the capital of Tenerife has suffered” in recent years, when the aforementioned administrations have been governed by other political formations, with the aim of PSOE as a common denominator.

The pact’s seven lines of action are: generating a more dynamic city and employment opportunities; further urban expansion, with the development of the Refinery land; value the historical heritage; the commitment to sustainability; offer help to those who need it most; the recovery of the coast, and offer quality of life to all residents, regardless of where they reside.

In the economic section, CC and PP seek to promote investment and business in the capital of Tenerife, maintaining a “low tax pressure, which favors economic activity and relieves family economies.”
