
SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 30. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Maritime Rescue has rescued a boat on Tuesday in which 35 Rubo migrants were traveling to the Canary Islands from the African continent, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The boat was intercepted by a Maritime Rescue unit in the south of the island of Gran Canaria and after proceeding to the rescue of all the people on board, they were taken to the Arguineguín pier, in the municipality of Mogán.
Once on land, the rescued received medical assistance by personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) and by Red Cross volunteers, one of the occupants of the boat being transferred to a hospital.
With this, there are already three boats that have arrived today in the Archipelago, with a total of 154 migrants. The first was rescued last night and taken to Lanzarote and the second reached Los Cristianos by her own means.
