SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 28. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Canary Islands Coalition (CC) candidate for the Presidency of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, acknowledged this Sunday that he has a “good feeling” after closing an “intense campaign” for which he has urged participation.

“You have to go vote, we cannot stay at home, whatever option is considered, but it is important that we participate because one of the strengths of our society is that we are a democratic system,” he told journalists after exercising his right to vote in the electoral college of the IES Cabrera Pinto de La Laguna.

Clavijo has been satisfied with the development of the campaign because they have been able to “transfer” their ideas to the citizens and now “it is time to wait for the verdict”, emphasizing that “citizens are not wrong, democracy is the majority and what they decide well decided it will be”.

Thus, he has insisted that he is “excited and hopeful” and sees his party with “clear options to win the elections.”

The nationalist candidate -who has gone to vote with the sneakers with the Canarian flag that have accompanied him during the campaign- has confessed that the day seems “very long” and he will dedicate it to visiting tables and venues, “encouraging to colleagues, if you have to bring food, take it, filling the hours with activity so that it passes more quickly”.
