The sector of santa cruz taxi already has one new ordinanceupdated, and which entered into force yesterday, after publishing the full text in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP). In this new text, in addition to the rules of use, stops, uniforms, ownership of licenses and who can drive a taxi, it also regulates in more detail the type of advertising that will be able to take the taxis of the capital.
According to this new ordinance, advertising must be authorized by the City Council, “sexist, racist, discriminatory messages or those that violate decorum, morality or good customs are prohibited.”
Advertisements on windows with micro-perforated vinyl stickers are prohibited, to ensure greater visibility and not reduce the safety of people traveling inside.
Authorization for the placement of advertising may be obtained by presenting the communication model after signing by the person holding the license. The communication will be accompanied by the mandatory documentation, such as the DNI of the owner or, where appropriate, of the representative, with the power of attorney granted for the corresponding procedure, as well as the project in which the content is indicated, format, place and mode of placement of the ad, accompanied by graphic documentation describing each of these points.
With regard to municipal powers, the possibility of installing, on a mandatory basis, location devices in vehicles to know, at all times, the location of the city’s taxi fleet, stands out.
