The PSOE candidate for mayor of Santa Cruz, Patricia Hernández, denounced the reinforcement hired exclusively by the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez (CC), for this electoral period. She did it from the Chamberí neighborhood, where the electoral vats were visible yesterday, to the astonishment of the neighbors who told her that it was the first time they had seen them in years. This deception will not be able to satisfy one of the main neighborhood claims, being necessary and urgent in his opinion “to maintain the washing as something permanent and not exceptional.”
Hernández affirmed that there are 30 workers and 4 vats that the City Council has hired for an amount of 900,000 euros to make up for the deficiencies in the cleaning contract and that they are from this month and until after the elections carrying out washing and cleaning actions for different neighborhoods. “If we only clean during electoral periods, we will never get the city clean,” he said. In his opinion, this special contract confirms that the dirtiness of the city has a solution.
