The municipality of Santiago automates and optimizes the management of lost objects

The Santiago City Hall Teide is a pioneer in incorporating the innovative technology of Foundspot to automate and optimize the management of lost objects to “make life easier for locals and tourists”, helping them to recover their lost belongings much more easily. This service will serve to optimize the management of the Local Police of objects that are lost and found in the municipality, “many of them of great sentimental or economic value.”

From now on, the citizen of Santiago del Teide and also the tourist will only have to indicate in a simple way what he has lost, in their own language and from their mobile device, and let the platform work automatically and contact the interested party when necessary, “saving calls from other countries and in other languages ​​and annoying emails to manage it.” In addition, not only is the object that has been lost located, but the courier service is integrated to be able to send the belonging to any corner of the world.

According to the mayor of Santiago del Teide, Emilio Navarro (PP), “this new addition to the municipal services for the management of lost objects is something that will make a difference and improve the image of our municipality for our residents and also for the tourists who visit us every year. This is something very positive, we are betting on a new innovative technology that already has very positive results in airlines and companies in the transport sector”.

Foundspot is the platform that is committed to helping recover lost objects and improve the experience of travelers and inhabitants. Santiago del Teide has, according to INE data in 2022, a population of 11,162 inhabitants, and a population density of 213 inhabitants per square kilometer.
