La Orotava enables new aid for local businesses

He Town Hall of La Orotava once again offers a line of aid for those who are committed to starting a business. The mayor of La Orotava, Francisco Linaresand the Councilor for Training and EmploymentDeisy Ramos, detailed the main data of this new call with which it is intended to promote and facilitate access to employment, and help entrepreneurs and self-employment to boost the local economy. Linares pointed out that for This initiative has a game of 25,000 euros, but it can be extended up to 100,000 euros in case there are more companies and people who request it.

This new help can be applied for by all those who have been registered since May of last year to the present. The call was published on Monday, May 8 and the submission period is 20 business days, so you have until June 6. It is a subsidy line for those activities that are located in the municipality, regardless of the tax domicile, “a novelty compared to last year that allows many more people to access.” In addition, in this call amounts of up to 2,800 euros can be obtained, somewhat more than in the first edition. And the way of justification is also facilitated, “avoiding processes that are often cumbersome.” Thus, in this edition it can be done with registration in the activity itself for at least one year. In the last call, 21 applications were received and the aid amounts ranged between 2,000 and 2,500 euros.

Currently, the municipality of La Orotava has 3,843 unemployedappreciating a downward trend, since last year it was about 4,300 and the previous year it exceeded 5,000.

The Training and Employment area of ​​the Town Hall offers information and advice. Every month there are new profiles looking for their first job and where alternatives such as self-employment are often pursued. Support is also provided for the various procedures to be carried out. That is why they invite you to continue using this resource, available to the citizen, as well as taking advantage of these subsidy lines that are launched to support and contribute to generating employment. Thus, the City Council has paid attention to entrepreneurship to which some 68 people have accessed.
