Users of the Santa Lastenia cemetery in Santa Cruz will see an improvement in the parking area, currently distributed in two land plots, with the action provided by the Infrastructure area, through which both spaces will be paved, with the corresponding drainage of rainwater, and the placement of light points. This was detailed by the mayor of the area, Dámaso Arteaga, who yesterday took the approval of the projects to the Governing Board and then prepared the specifications and put them out to tender. These are two reprints, one for each of the plots, which will involve an investment of 259,000 and 284,000 euros respectively.

“For the moment we will start with the first reprint in which the works will consist of the conditioning of the plot attached to the Santa Lastenia funeral home for use as a parking lot, where we will proceed to asphalt, order the spaces and accesses, the installation of the network of collection of rainwater, which is diverted to a ravine in the area, and the provision of public lighting “, explained the mayor of Infrastructure. “We are talking about more than 500,000 euros of investment to considerably improve parking in the area,” added Arteaga.

Both the Insular Water Council and the Municipal Management of Urbanism have issued favorable reports on the projects, and the area directed by Arteaga undertakes to demolish what has been built or eradicate its use in case of agreement to revoke the license by the Management. of Urbanism.
