The company committee of the workers of the Cleaning Service of Dependencies and Schools of the City Council of La Laguna has agreed in assembly and unanimously to call mobilizations for next week.
As reported by the UGT union in a press release, the protest rallies will take place in the Plaza del Adelantado due to the doubts generated by the new service specifications, currently in the bidding process.
From the Federation of Services, Mobility and Consumption of UGT Canarias they have indicated that they are especially concerned about the increase in working hours, given the current overload in said service.
In addition, they point out that in said specification companies with gardening, plumbing, roof terraces and scuppers, manholes, among others, are valued, without specifying how these new services will be assumed. The current workforce is concerned that new tasks will be added to the current workload.
The concentrations will begin on May 16, 2023, from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., initially until June 1.
