The Town Hall of adejethrough the Area of Economic Development and Employment, and the Red Cross continue the process of improving the houses of vulnerable people of the southern municipality through the Adeje Recovery 2023 project.

This plan, which began to be developed at the end of last March, has as its main objective to help the most vulnerable people in Adeje, for which a strategy that presents two main axes is being worked on.

The first is the training and insertion of unemployed people from the municipality of Adeje with indicators of risk of exclusion, while the second is aimed at the rehabilitation of homes for vulnerable people residing in this town.

As reported by the Adeje City Council, the 12 people who make up the work team have received “professional training”, one of the pillars of the project. In April they completed a 60-hour basic plumbing course, which has been developed through a theoretical-practical methodology in which the active participation of workers has prevailed.

These people have learned to use various materials and techniques that they will be able to apply in their current work, which has allowed them to broaden their knowledge in the sector and gain experience for future job placement, underlines the Consistory.

The houses in which the interventions are carried out are homes that need to improve accessibility, health and habitability so that the people who live in them can improve their quality of life.
