SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 4 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the National Police have detained a 45-year-old Latvian citizen who had a European Arrest and Surrender Order issued by the judicial authorities of his country.
The investigators of the National Police, through the central organs of the General Police Directorate, received information about the possible location of the requisitioner on the island of Tenerife and his arrest had been ordered by the Latvian justice by the alleged commission of the crimes of trafficking and tobacco smuggling, for an estimated market value of seven million euros.
The investigation procedures carried out by the agents determined that this person resided, without arousing the suspicions of his neighbors, in a house in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte.
Finally, he was detained by the agents and made available to the central investigating courts through his physical person in mixed court Number 1 of Icod de los Vinos.
The actions have been carried out by national police officers from the UDYCO of the Provincial Police Station of the National Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
