Arona receives 150 million in renovation of the hotel plant

The Spring and Coral chains, the Mare Nostrum Resort complex or the Alborada hotel in Ten-Bel –which is currently in the process of construction– are investing more than 150 million euros in its renovation. With this, they significantly improve the quality and competitiveness of Arona as a tourist destination. This is highlighted by the mayor José Julián Mena, who advances that the municipality «works intensely to rehabilitate the public tourist space to accompany the private sector, with investments planned in avenues such as Las Vistas and Avenida Noelia Afonsoas well as “to provide the municipality with a specific office designed to expedite tourism projects and unblock spaces such as the El Mojón Partial Plan”.

Mena, accompanied by the CEO of Tourism of TenerifeDavid Pérez, visited yesterday the comprehensive renovation works of what is the largest accommodation complex on the Island and located in the municipality: Mare Nostrum Resort, which has more than a thousand rooms distributed in three hotels: Mediterranean Palace, Cleopatra Palace and Sir Anthony.

All of them will have the category of five stars. The Sir Anthony will be the most exclusive of all, for adults only, while the other two will be for the family tourism market. This hotel will be the first to open, with a view to the summer campaign, while the idea of the property, the Canadian group Brookfield Asset Management, is that the Mediterranean Palace does so at the end of the year to then begin the reform of the third.

In the case of Mare Nostrum Resort, it is one of the most emblematic complexes in Playa de the Americasdue to its location in the commercial area of the Golden Mile, being the first five stars built in Arona, and being the largest accommodation complex, as well as a pioneer in congress and convention tourism, with the Pirámide de Arona auditorium.
