SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 6. (EUROPE PRESS) –
A 30-year-old climber was seriously injured this Friday afternoon when a stone fell on his head in the La Galería climbing area, in Icor, within the municipality of Arico (Tenerife).
As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 112, the man suffered a serious head injury, for which he was evacuated by GES rescue helicopter to Tenerife North Airport and from there to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands in a medical ambulance.
In this sense, firefighters transferred the man to the place where the air resource could access, while the Rural Guard and Civil Protection of Tamadaya collaborated with the emergency services.
