The Plenary approves 4.3 million for improvements in municipal centers

The Plenary of Candelaria Town Hall approved a budget modification amounting to 4,356,570 euros, which is obtained from municipal savings. This is an amount that will allow the development of more than 60 improvement actions both in municipal facilities and infrastructures, according to the government group.

In terms of sustainable development, the City Council announces that self-consumption panels (photovoltaic panels) will be installed in educational centers, as well as in cultural centers, the hotel school, the nursery school and the Integral Recovery Center (CERI), the energy efficiency project for the acquisition and installation of photovoltaic streetlights or the improvement of the energy efficiency of the Cine Viejo Cultural Space. All this for an amount that exceeds 900,000 euros.

In terms of infrastructure, Candelaria plans to undertake the renovation of the children’s area located in the Punta Larga Multi-adventure Park, in addition to executing the skate park. In addition, The equipment of the municipal schools for cycling, table tennis, soccer and triathlon and will act in the rehabilitation of several of the squares that Villa Mariana has.

In terms of sanitation, one of the most relevant interventions given the importance of this type of action, the Candelaria Plenary gave the green light to the execution of the sewerage network project in the Playa de La Viuda neighborhood, for an amount of 634,555 euros .

In the sports field, they will improve the changing rooms and the shaded area in the stands of the Los Barranquillos Soccer Field (Barranco Hondo), they will replace the grass of the 5-a-side soccer field and there will be performances in the cafeteria of the Araya terrain.
