SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 2. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC) has published this Tuesday the resolutions by which the candidacies of the autonomous constituency and the insular constituencies are proclaimed for the elections to the Parliament of the Canary Islands that will take place on May 28, to elect the 70 deputies and deputies who will occupy the seats that make up the autonomous Chamber.

The insular ones correspond to one per island -except La Graciosa-, while the autonomous circumscription covers the entire archipelago.

Of the 70 seats to choose from, 15 concern the insular constituency of Tenerife and the same number to that of Gran Canaria; eight to La Palma, as well as Fuerteventura and Lanzarote; four to La Gomera and three to El Hierro. The remaining nine correspond to the autonomous circumscription.

In the elections to the Parliament of the Canary Islands, two ballot boxes are used, one for the autonomous constituency, in which the envelope and the yellow ballot are deposited, and another for the insular constituency, in which the envelope and the sepia-colored ballot are inserted. .

The Electoral Board of the Canary Islands has agreed to proclaim the candidacies of 19 lists for the autonomous constituency, one less than those that the secretary of this body certified had been presented and one more than those that concurred in the elections held four years ago.

The Provincial Electoral Board of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has proclaimed those relating to the island constituencies of Tenerife, a total of 15 electoral lists, La Palma (9), La Gomera (6) and El Hierro (8). Compared to the 2019 elections, three less in Tenerife, the same number in La Palma, two less in La Gomera and two more in El Hierro.

For its part, the Provincial Electoral Board of Las Palmas has done the same with the island constituencies of Fuerteventura, nine candidacies, Gran Canaria (16) and Lanzarote (10). In all of them, less than four years ago, where twelve were proclaimed in Fuerteventura, seventeen in Gran Canaria and eleven in Lanzarote.
