SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 30 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The startup accelerator of the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Olympo Boxes, has opened the registration period for its 11th edition, consolidating itself as a benchmark for the entire startup ecosystem and for all those entrepreneurs who have innovative projects and clear technological orientation.

Olympo Boxes is an initiative of the provincial Chamber of Commerce financed by the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Economic Promotion and the European Regional Development Fund Canary Islands advances with Europe.

Throughout all its editions, Olympo Boxes has promoted more than 120 companies, achieving a survival rate of 75% and financing that exceeds 5 million euros since its launch in 2013, data that shows how this Chamber startup acceleration program is a great opportunity to promote technology-based entrepreneurial projects born in the Archipelago, thus managing to diversify the Canarian business fabric.

Those startups interested in participating can register for this program until June 2 through the Olympo Boxes website. Once the acceleration program has started, they will be able to count on cutting-edge tools and resources that will help develop and improve the business model of each business project. To be selected, startups must have an innovative project, an PMV (minimum viable product) and have the capacity to develop technology related to it.

Olympo Boxes’ approach is focused on systematizing the commercial process and validating the business model, two aspects that are key to the success of any company. To do this, it relies on a methodology that seeks to achieve solid business models that generate income and that have a sustainable and scalable projection from the early stages.

The experience acquired by Olympo Boxes shows that the startups that survive in the market are those that focus on their clients with strategies coordinated by experts, with whom the roadmaps are outlined in the different phases of growth of the companies. Once the objective of getting clients is reached, the next step is to focus on the search for financing.

REFERENCE AT THE REGIONAL LEVEL

The ten previous editions have positioned Olympo Boxes as one of the leading acceleration programs for technological and innovation projects in the Archipelago as a whole. Thanks to the co-financing of the Government of the Canary Islands, this program has accelerated the birth of a group of startups in the Islands.

Greater relevance that has gone hand in hand with the progressive positioning of the Canary Islands in the national entrepreneurial scene by having a powerful R+D+i infrastructure in various sectors, which allows entrepreneurs to carry out feasibility tests with greater control out of your reach.

Within these aspects it is also important to highlight other attractions that the Islands present, such as the tax benefits that companies can enjoy, which offers much more favorable conditions than in the mainland, among which the tax benefits of the ZEC Zone stand out, with 4% in corporate tax, and tax deductions for R&D&i which, by far, are the highest in the country.

This set of factors makes Olympo Boxes one of the most interesting acceleration programs in the startup ecosystem, allowing a unique scenario in Europe to develop in the Canary Islands, which is increasingly inclined towards supporting this type of business.
