The Canarian city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is home to the impressive San Juan Bautista Coastal Defensive Tower, also known as Castillo de San Juan or Castillo Negro. This fortress, which dates back to 1641, is one of the most important in the defense of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and is located in the heart of the capital, behind the famous Auditorio de Tenerife. Castle of San Cristobal

The Castillo de San Cristóbal, the first important fortification on the island of Tenerife and the main pillar of the defensive complex of the bay of Santa Cruz, is a must-see for lovers of history and architecture. Although today only a few walls of the original building remain, they are exhibited in an underground gallery in the Plaza de España in the capital of Tenerife.

It is located in a strategic enclave between the confluence of the Cercado and Las Huertas ravines and the seashore. High Pass Castle

The Castle of Paso Alto, located on the coast of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, is an impressive fortification with a strategic location between the Paso Alto Military Sports Club and the Higher Technical School of Nautical, Naval Machines and Radioelectronics of the University of La Laguna .

This castle is famous for being located at the exact point where the prevailing currents and winds forced ships to sail close to the coast, which made it a key player in the defense of the city in the past.
