The Fiestas de Mayo in Los Realejos are celebrated with more than 70 acts between April and June

The municipality of The Realejos presented this Tuesday, April 25, the program of its May festivities 2023 which provides for more than 70 events between the months of April and June. The key dates will be those of the feast of Crosses and Fireson May 2 and 3; the Wizards Ballon May 20, and the pilgrimage, on June 4. The mayor of Los Realejos, Adolfo González (PP); the Councilor for Fiestas, Isabel Socorro (PP)and the parish priests of the Matriz del Apóstol Santiago de Realejo Alto and Santa Cruz de La Cruz Santa Parish, Angelo Nardone and Ruben Herrerapresented some acts that officially start This Saturday April 29starting at 8:30 p.m. in the Plaza Viera and Clavijo in Realejo Altowith the reading of the opening proclamation of the festivities by the communicator Raul Arencibiawho hosted more than 500 episodes of the popular TV show stall.

This celebration, the most important in the municipality, was declared in 2009 as Festival of Tourist Interest in the Canary Islands and, since 2015, it also holds the category of National Tourist Interest granted by the Ministry of Tourism of Spain. On Tuesday 2, starting at 11:45 p.m., the light located outside the Municipal Tourist Office will begin the final stretch of the countdown to the Crosses and Fireworks of May, a unique festivity that celebrates the historic pique between Calle de El Sol and Calle de El Medio Arriba with one of the largest fireworks displays in Europe, lasting almost three hours.

In addition, on Saturday May 6 The Realejos will attract the eyes of all Spain thanks to the reception of the contest Miss World Spain 2023, which will take place in Plaza Viera y Clavijo starting at 9:00 p.m. In this event, the 52 representatives of each province or autonomous city of the country will wear typical costumes from their places of origin.
