The El Rosario City Council has been the beneficiary of a grant of just over one million euros by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning of the Government of the Canary Islandswith which the local corporation will execute the renovation of the entire Radazul Alto water network, through a project with similar characteristics to the one recently developed in Radazul Bajo. In addition, the action contemplates the reform of the deposit in the upper area of Radazul.
In this way, the Government of Canary Islandswithin the Plan for the improvement of supply and reduction of losses in networks of small and medium-sized municipalities, has awarded 1,082,505 euros to El Rosario for the work carried out to improve the drinking water distribution network of Radazul Bajo.
«The success of the work, with which it has been possible to end losses in the network and save 40% of water, has allowed it to be awarded the aforementioned line of subsidies with which the regional Executive seeks the improvement of water supply and reduction of losses in networks of small and medium-sized municipalities, through works that contribute to improving efficiency, tackling losses, repairing and improving collection, deposits and water treatment facilities,” the Rosariero City Council said in a press release.
With this new financing, the City Council is ready to undertake the next tender for the works of Rehabilitation of the deposit and improvement of the distribution network of Radazul Alto“a twin project to that of Radazul Bajo, which, like that one, is a decisive work to have a modern, efficient drinking water distribution network in accordance with the population it serves.”
This action entails the renovation of the water network of Cortés, Llano Blanco, Malibú streets, Candelaria road (right margin at the intersection with Llano Blanco), Robledo, Alvarado, Valdivia, Gravina and Balboa, in addition to the rehabilitation of the reservoir of Radazul Alto, as well as the complete resurfacing of all the mentioned roads.
In addition, the project will develop the renovation of the drinking water supply network to Radazul Alto in service, executed in galvanized steel when the first streets of the urbanization were built, which present deficiencies.
