VALVERDE (THE IRON), 22 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The PP candidate for the Presidency of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, has highlighted the “failure” of the “self-defined” Government of the Canary Islands, “the most social in history” because “there is no social shield.”

This was revealed this Saturday during the presentation of the party’s electoral candidacies in El Hierro, which was also attended by the national deputy secretary for Regional and Local Policy of the PP, Pedro Rollán, and the president of the insular PP, Juan Manuel García Casañas.

“This is the government that has defined itself as the most social in all of history. That government that came to save the canaries and recover their situation of poverty, and yet they have failed,” he asserted.

Domínguez has placed special emphasis on the fact that this failure is due to the fact that “there is no social shield”, pointing out that, among other issues, the Government that has collected the most in the entire history of the Canary Islands “refuses to lower taxes”.

In the same way, he pointed out that today there are 197,000 canaries who are waiting for an operation, an appointment with a specialist or a diagnostic test; without forgetting “the situation in which the primary care centers are”; or that there are almost 500 people “living” in hospitals on the islands, having been discharged.
