He Commerce Area of ​​the La Laguna City Council is delivering the identification plates with which the town distinguishes and makes visible the historic establishments of the town. The oldest businesses in La Laguna will be recognizable by their customers.

This is a recognition that dozens of businesses that exceed 50 years and even a century of history are receiving and that, in many cases, continue to manage successors of the founding families, as reported by the Consistory.

This action is reinforced with the distribution of the first official guide and map of the emblematic shops of Aguere among the more than 200 establishments recognized for their age, small and medium-sized companies from all towns and neighborhoods, which opened their doors more than 35 years ago. years and that the municipality wants to support, showing its importance for local development, through its dissemination and enhancement.

Among the hundred-year-old shops, the municipal emblem, the guide and the map have already been delivered to Calzados Víctor Núñez, Hotel Aguere, Dulcería La Catedral and Gofio La Molineta, located in the Casco, as well as Molino de Gofio Raúl and Piensos Arturo, both in Tejina.

And among those that have exceeded half a century of life, include the Princesa Iballa Butcher Shop (La Cuesta), Los Calados (Historical Quarter), Bonnet Supplies (Los Majuelos), La Castellana Bookstore (Tejina), Lydia Supermarket (La Punta) or the Almonte Hardware Store (Las Mercedes), as well as those recently incorporated into this +50 club, which are the Beniflor Florist and the Lemus Bookstore.

Likewise, among the +35 years, which add up to more than 115 establishments, the guide and map have already been delivered to La Ocasión (Casco), Librería La Papelería (La Cuesta), Garden Planta Viva (Guamasa), Modas Valle (Valle Guerra) or the Bar Churrería El Galeón (Las Canteras).
