Rosa Dávila presents a team “to recover Tenerife”

Rosa Davilacandidate for Canarian Coalition to the presidency of the Council of Tenerifepresented his list to “recover Tenerife”. In four years of the PSOE mandate “it has lost prominence and momentum.” For this reason, with “an extraordinary group of men and women” behind who “combines experience, youth and management” he intends to return “everything lost.” Dávila assured that she felt “a winner”, because the members of her team have assumed the government challenge “with enthusiasm and energy”. They are “prepared” to govern “the day after winning the elections on May 28.”

Pride and illusion are the feelings expressed by the candidate during the event held in the Black Castle of Santa Cruz, among the curious glances of the foreigners and those outside the event.

Dávila clarified that “here number 1 is the same as number 31, there are no differences due to the solvency and preparation of all.” Precisely, in that last place on the list appears, “at her own request,” says the candidate, an illustrious person like Alonso Arroyo, who held positions on the front line of the Government of the Canary Islands. Another example is that of the former mayor of Garachico and president of the Isla Baja Consortium, Lorenzo Dorta, at 84 years of age. Dávila revealed that his response when offering to join him – in 27th place – was an expressive: “Rosa, don’t do this to me.”

Dávila glossed his 30 companions one by one. Rather 31, because the Malian Mamadou Cámara, a fighter from Tegueste, could not enter due to “personal and bureaucratic” problems. He was not present yesterday either, because “his child got sick.” But “he will campaign” and will be “one more” as a benchmark of strength and improvement.

As number 2, Dávila explained, is José Miguel Ruano, “whom this project encouraged to return to political activity after stepping aside in 2019. With his experience and knowledge, he will be a fundamental pillar in the next government group” . Like Efraín Medina (3), “whose dynamic spirit and his active role in crafts or fashion are missed in the Cabildo.”

Rosa Dávila thanked the incorporation of the businesswoman María Eulalia García (4), the architect Isabel de Esteban (24), and José Juan Rodríguez Pestano (12), one of the promoters of the modern VT models.

Dávila concluded: «We want Tenerife to recover and I cannot do it alone. It will be possible with this team of 31 people, who know what to do to make it once again a benchmark for a cohesive Island, an example for the rest and the pride of those of us who live here.”

Juan Antonio Alonso (11) arrives to praise the primary sector. Of the current directors, three women repeat: Diana Mora (15), Blanca Pérez (6) and Carmen Delia Alberto (13). And from municipalism he incorporates Juan José Martínez (7), Dámaso Arteaga (10), both from Santa Cruz; Juan Acosta (5, mayor of Santa Úrsula); Candelaria Padrón (9, Arona); Maria de la O Gaspar (23,, Granadilla); Teresa gonzalez (26, Guía de Isora), Patricia Lion (22, Adeje), Cristian Santana (29, Güímar) and Constantino Luis (16, Icod).

“Standing, collapsed and exhausted”

“Tenerife is stagnant, collapsed and exhausted.” An “excited” Rosa Dávila assured it. She highlighted the specialization of her colleagues. That of the psychiatrist Pedro Rodríguez (30); the historian Miguel Clavijo (14); the geographer Pedro Millán (18) or Raquel Torres (19), the first female referee in Spanish boxing. He singled out David Lozano (21), a former member of the Ansina program. A nod to the young with Álvaro Sánchez (17), Serafín Mesa (8), Alejandra Álvarez (20), Beatriz Trujillo (28), and Alejandro Eiroa (25). | JDM
