SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The European terrestrial observation system Copernicus calculates in its latest update that the area covered by lava on La Palma is already 367.3 hectares and 880 buildings have been destroyed.

This measurement, made yesterday Friday, also indicates that the area occupied by the volcano since its eruption on September 19 has covered an area of ​​3,304 hectares.

In the previous measurement, the Copernicus satellite estimated the destroyed constructions in 870, while the extension of the volcano’s lava occupied an area of ​​358.1 hectares.
