Aqualia assumes the maintenance of the local drinking water supply network

“The supply of drinking water is one of the basic services provided by the City Council, hence its continuous improvement is a priority for this government (AISU). The objective is that our neighbors not only have quality water, but also have a rapid response to incidents that occur. We are fully confident that through this award we all have an increasingly efficient supply network, ”emphasizes the mayor, Juan Acosta.

The councilor responsible for Waters, Santiago Pérez, and the mayor recently welcomed the team that Aqualia has earmarked for this new service. It consists of eight workers, including plumbers, bricklayers and laborers, equipped with vehicles and tools to carry out their duties. Also present at the event were the Head of Production for Tenerife North and the Province of Las Palmas de Aqualia, Braulio Domínguez, and Moisés García Mesa, Head of Service for Puerto de la Cruz and Santa Úrsula.

With this template It is intended to attend more quickly the incidents that may arise in the supply, for which it will also have the advice of an engineer of Roads, Channels and Ports. Another of the tasks of the successful bidder will be to update the cartography of the water supply network, in order to renew it, reduce losses and improve its performance. This work also entails optimizing the controls, “both with regard to the tanks and the quality of the water for human consumption”.
