Agents of the National Police investigate the case of a corpse that was located on the morning of this Wednesday, April 12, in Tenerife. The body was inside a cisternwith his hands tied and subject to some weights in the municipality of Los Realejos.
The events occurred shortly before 11:00 a.m. in the area of Toscal-Longuera. The 1-1-2 room activated various security and emergency resources to intervene after the discovery of a man without vital signs in a water tank in a chalet in said enclave.
The deceased’s hands were tied with duct tape and his feet were attached to weights. One of the first hypotheses is that it is a suicide, although the autopsy is awaiting to find out the real cause of death. The aforementioned death occurred in a building on Mexico Street.
The man was a 52-year-old businessman, a native of another municipality in the north of Tenerife and of a thick complexion. His body was extracted from the cistern by firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium stationed in the La Orotava park.
