The haze and the showers take over the weather in the Canary Islands this Easter ‘weekend’

After two days of good weather in Canary Islandsthe State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecasts light rains for the Easter weekend in four of the islands of the archipelago. It also notifies the presence of haze.

In Gran Canaria, a slight chance of showers is expected on Saturday, with a 10% chance of rain during mid-day. On Sunday, the chance of rain increases to 20% in the morning and 30% in the afternoon.

In Lanzarote Rain is not expected, but it is calm at altitude on Saturday.

Meanwhile in Fuerteventurasome showers are expected on Saturday, with a 20% to 25% chance of rain throughout the day, but not expected on Sunday.

On the other hand, in Tenerife, occasional light rains are expected on the north and southeast slopes on Saturday, with a 70% chance of rain in the morning and a 90% chance of rain in the afternoon. On Sunday, there is also a possibility of light or moderate precipitation, especially in the last hours of the day.

By islands, the forecast for this Saturday is as follows:

LANZAROTE

Cloudy intervals with a predominance of slightly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Little changed temperatures. Generally light wind from the north component, increasing slightly during the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Arrecife 17 22

Fuerteventura

Cloudy intervals with a predominance of slightly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Little changed temperatures. Generally light wind from the north component, increasing slightly during the afternoon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Puerto del Rosario 17 22

GRAND CANARY

Cloudy intervals. Temperatures with few changes or a slight decrease, more pronounced in the highs of the southern half. Generally light wind from the north, slightly more intense on the east and west coasts.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): The Gran Canarian palms 18 22

Cloudy intervals with a low probability of occasional light rains on the southeastern slope in the afternoon. Temperatures with few changes except for a slight decrease in the maximums in the medians. Light wind from the north component, slightly more intense on the east coasts and extreme northwest.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Santa Cruz de Tenerife 17 24

Cloudy intervals. Temperatures with few changes except for a slight decrease in the maximums in the medians. Light wind from the north, slightly more intense on the east coast and northwest slope.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): San Sebastián de la Gomera 16 24

Cloudy intervals. Little changed temperatures. Light wind from the north, slightly more intense on the east and west coasts.

MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM FORECAST TEMPERATURES (°C): Santa Cruz de la Palma 16 22

Cloudy intervals. Temperatures with few changes except for a slight drop in the maximum on slopes facing south and west. Light wind from the north, slightly more intense on the southeast and extreme northwest coasts.
