Great acceptance of the Tierra de Oro Senior Eco-Residence in Los Realejos

In this newly opened residence, the elderly find the greatest well-being.

Located in a quiet area and away from the tourist area, with stable temperatures all year round, with wonderful views of the sea and the mountains and proximity to the town center, they contribute to easy access to all the necessary services.

The Tierra de Oro Residence has capacity for 125 residents; 99 residential places and 26 day care centers. The building is equipped with all the services required for this type of quality centers and complementary services. Its architectural philosophy is far from the classic aspect of hospital infrastructure, giving it an approach similar to that of a five-star hotel establishment. As an Eco-residence, its aesthetics integrate with the landscape, thus avoiding visual and environmental impact.

The center has an outdoor pool with a solarium, hot/cold air conditioning in all the rooms in the center, more than 1000 m2 of lawn and garden areas, 100% accessible with 3 elevators and 1 stretcher lift, panoramic viewpoint of the valley, pyramid-shaped assembly hall , home automation system integrated throughout the center, and private parking for 30 vehicles.

Sustainability

Ecoresidencia Tierra de Oro, has adopted different measures in the process of reforming the building and in the current management that promote its sustainability and make it the most ecological in the Canary Islands. Sustainability is the fundamental basis in all processes; choice of construction materials with low environmental impact, proper and sustainable waste management; facilities with thermal and acoustic insulation systems, motion sensors, timers, water-saving devices, etc.; generation and use of renewable energies, promotion of responsible and efficient consumption of natural resources, raising awareness to carry out small gestures that contribute to their savings, Circular Economy, Km0; purchase of products that contribute to healthy eating through nearby suppliers, thus encouraging the local economy; purchase of ecological and organic products with seals that certify their low pollution sustainability, that promote and respect animal welfare, sustainable fishing and organic production; promotion of quality employment, adopting labor policies that are committed to well-being, job stability, conciliation and equality; and more than 3,500 m2 of outdoor areas with small urban gardens, adjoining arable land for self-consumption, as well as landscaped areas, and large groves of trees. The design was projected by AV2 Arquitectura and executed by CIVIA Construcción.

The center offers comprehensive care centered on the person, with the aim that they receive adequate care adapted to their situation, needs and preferences, enhancing their autonomy and slowing down physical, cognitive and social deterioration.
