More than 130 businessmen and economic agents from the island gathered this week at the event organized by the investment attraction platform Why Tenerife? on the occasion of its tenth anniversary.
The Councilor for External Action of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Liskel Álvarez, opened the meeting together with the special delegate of the State for the Tenerife Free Zone, Margarita Pena; the vice president of the Chamber of Commerce, Victoria González, and the director of the Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC), Eva Sainero.
Liskel Álvarez highlighted the participation in these conferences of foreign investors to whom the Why Tenerife? offers personalized advice and valued “the union and joint work of the administrations and institutions in the promotion of Tenerife, to attract new investment opportunities and continue positioning the island as a business center”.
The commemoration event included the holding of four discussion tables, in which a total of 22 speakers participated, to attract investment projects in sectors of strategic interest, such as ports, technology, audiovisual, innovation, video games and free zones.
The member partners took the opportunity to present the main actions that are promoted from the platform with the aim of facilitating contacts and accompanying the companies during negotiations and dialogue with the different administrations.
The platform also offers personalized advice throughout the process of implementing businesses and projects in Tenerife, helping to identify local strategic and technological partners on the island for each investment project, supporting the definitive search for the ideal location within the territory. insular.
