A hiker rescued by helicopter after suffering a fall in Tenerife



A hiker 68 years has been rescued this Thursday by a helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) injured with moderate trauma to one leg after suffering a fall in The lagoon (Tenerife).

The events occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting health care for a hiker who had fallen on the path of Chinamada was hurt.

The GES helicopter located and rescued the affected woman who was in an area of ​​difficult access and transferred her to the La Guancha helipad where a basic life support ambulance from the SUC attended to the wound and evacuated her to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
