Agents of the National Police have been detained in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Tenerife) to a 39-year-old man, with no police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of bad treatments in the family environment towards the children of your deceased ex-partner.
The police action began after the call from someone under 17 reporting that the man with whom he lived together with his 15-year-old brother, his deceased mother’s ex-partner, beat and mistreated them constantly, punishing them also without eating often.
The minors were totally incommunicado and only left the family home to go to the educational center.
Specialized agents of the Family and Women’s Care Unit of the National Police immediately went to the educational center and transferred the minors to a nearby medical center, where health personnel certified the severity of the injuries that the two minors had, among which were multiple bruises with erythema on the legs, buttocks, and forearms; lacerations, anxiety, tremors and signs of malnutrition.
After bringing the facts to the attention of the Minors Section of the Provincial Prosecutor’s Officeit was decreed enter the teenagers in a center of Tenerife for their custody and care.
The stepfather was located and arrested in La Laguna for a crime of ill-treatment in the family environment, immediately decreed, by the competent judicial authority, a restraining order due to the facts investigated
