SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Canarian Executive has approved this Thursday, in the Governing Council, the integration of the Canarian Food Chain Control Council in the administrative structure of the Canarian Institute of Agrifood Quality (ICCA) after a proposal presented jointly by the Ministries of Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing; of Health; Tourism, Industry and Commerce; and Public Administrations, Justice and Security of the Government of the Canary Islands.

This incorporation produces a modification in the regulation of organization and operation of the ICCA, adding a section 3 which specifies that the attached body will be governed by its specific regulations, as reported by the Canary Islands Government in a press release.

Thus, the new integration is supported by almost twenty reports, among which is the evaluation of impact values such as gender, family or climate change, as well as the file instructed for approval of the draft Decree of reference.

Regarding these documents, there are also texts from the Budget Office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, the General Directorate of Planning and Budget or the Vice Ministry of Legal Services, which are favorable to the integration of this Council by part of the ICCA.

The proposal, after being raised for consideration by the Governing Council, has been studied by the Consultative Council of the Canary Islands and it has been decided to approve said incorporation, which will be effective the day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands.
