The only specialist who maintains the theory that he was the victim of a psychotic break is the psychiatrist who treated him in Malaga, where he lived for half the year with his mother. The doctor’s opinion was always that she should not travel to Tenerife to avoid any type of stressful situation, despite which she traveled to the island at the end of June. The doctor believes that the medication was taken correctly, in Malaga by her mother and in Tenerife her father was also warned to supervise her.
When the police called her on July 1 after the crime, she assures that the entire team suffered “a very strong blow. This specific case was especially shocking and surprising to us.” In the end they thought that a series of unfortunate circumstances had coincided, such as having been locked up due to the pandemic, the trip, the reduction in medication and the possible error when giving him the injection to stop the psychosis.

The experts believe that the possible resentment he felt towards his father was triggered by an argument he had with him over his refusal to wash the dishes, reproaching him for throwing the cigarette butts on the floor and threatening to send him back to Estepona.
Subsequently, his situation seems to have improved, he confessed that he regretted what happened and that if he could, he would not do it again. In addition, currently the medication has been increased to 900 milligrams daily and injections are applied every two months.
