The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Education and Youth area, has begun work on the La Esperanza Youth Camp, located in the municipality of El Rosario, where improvement and maintenance work will be carried out starting this week which have a budget of 306,291 euros, without IGIC.
The Island Councilor for Education and Youth, Concepción Rivero, explained that the initiative includes “an integral action in the Camp, acting in the entire area with maintenance and improvement works.”
Specifically, the existing paths will be intervened to widen them and increase their accessibility and there will be a substantial improvement in the sustainability and efficiency of the sanitation and plumbing facilities to provide the recreational space with a rainwater recovery and storage system. . In addition, the existing buildings will be painted.
Concepción Rivero assured that these works “will benefit both the users of the facilities and their workers, since among the planned actions they also affect access to the compound with the intervention of the Camp Surveillance Room in order to improve its accessibility and comfort.” .
For her part, the insular director of Education and Youth, Isabel Bello, recalled that each year some 3,000 people enjoy the services offered by Camp La Esperanza. “In this way we will be able to provide them with a better service and, above all, make it more efficient,” said Bello, who explained that the work will last six months, during which the facilities will remain closed to the public.
