Los Silos is the municipality chosen this year 2023 to carry out this coming Saturday, March 25, the visit and cultural exchange of the “XXXIV edition of the Excursion of the Elderly of the municipality” to which all people registered in the municipality over the age of 60 who may be accompanied and/or accompanied by their spouse, whether or not they are of the specified age, are invited. They may not be accompanied by caregivers and caregivers, sons and daughters and relatives.
The itinerary of this XXXIII edition, except for last-minute changes, consists of the following route: it will depart at 08:00 in the morning from each of the different stops specified in the direction of the municipality of El Tanque where the first stop will be made. for breakfast and the first experiences will be shared. From here, the delegation will travel to the municipality of Los Silos where various socio-cultural events will take place between both municipalities and a mass will be held in the Church of Nuestra Señora de La Luz, visiting the square and the old convent among other places.
After finishing the acts, they will travel to the municipality of Tacoronteo to celebrate the fraternization and brotherhood lunch as well as the traditional dance-party. Then, around 5:00 p.m., we will head south to the municipality of Candelaria for a brief visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Candelaria, Patron Saint of the Canary Islands and, later, return to the place of origin.
