SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the PP of La Palma and candidate for re-election to the Presidency of the Island Council, Mariano Zapata, has confirmed the incorporation to his team of Miguel Perdigón Ferraz, who comes to reinforce the list that the Popular Party is going to present to continue presiding the first Institution of the Island.

Mariano Zapata stressed that Miguel Perdigón “is a young person, prepared, who has clear ideas and who is closely related to the social and cultural life of Santa Cruz de La Palma and the entire island”. “He is a person who has a lot to contribute and who comes to reinforce a team that continues to give its best so that his island can advance,” he added.

For his part, Miguel Perdigón affirmed that he assumes this challenge responsibly, but above all with commitment and enthusiasm to work for the Island. In addition, he defends that he wants to contribute to the change that Zapata is carrying out, through “a serious policy and a close management, whose priority is the well-being of the palmeros, that we all have opportunities and in which La Palma wins without a doubt”.

Finally, the president of the popular wanted to remember that the doors of the Popular Party “are open to all those who want to join the project because only together can we continue working on the Island that we want and deserve,” he added.

ABOUT MIGUEL PERDIGÓN FERRAZ

He studied in public centers in Santa Cruz de La Palma until 2008, when he moved to Salamanca to study History, one of his great passions. When she finished her degree, she returned to the Island and since then she has combined minor jobs in the public and private sectors while taking part in the FCSE.

Since 2018 he has been working as a port police for the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Port Authority in the port of Santa Cruz de La Palma. In 2021 she completed the Master’s Degree in Teacher Training in Secondary Education and Vocational Training at the International University of Valencia, with teaching practices at her local childhood institute.

He is closely involved in the social and cultural life of his city and since 2014 he has been in charge of the Corsair Day Cultural Association, organizer of the summer event with the same name.
